Our mission, according to the Presidio Trust, was to create an art program that encouraged the hotel guests to go out and explore the Presidio. We designated hiking trails, overlooks, monuments and art installations, which were photographed for each guestroom and tied to a map in the lobby with QR codes that lead you to each location. Combined with antique maps of San Francisco, a vintage bugle collection dating to the Civil War, authentic army memorabilia from the Presidio Salvage Yard, and original oil paintings and army photos, the artwork weaves together the story of the Presidio past and present.
