Creating the artwork for this hotel was a dream for a history buff! We centered the art around the 1893 Columbian World’s Exposition, held in Chicago (to the protest of New Yorkers!). The architecture and statuary from the “White City”, as it was called, was the main subject of our artwork in the rooms. Housed in 5’ diameter handmade gesso frames, the art makes one feel that they are peering through a portal into another time.

The suites feature multicolored prints of the Ferris Wheel, which made its debut at that fair. To add a bit of Chicago’s music scene, we created large playbills for the elevator lobbies.
